Co-Location

Let’s talk about co-location. One of the basic principles in establishing an #Agile team is that it has to be co-located. Co-location enhances communication, builds team spirit etc. However, in the post COVID-19 era we will see a lot of employees working from home. Some say it is a fact that we’ll have to get used to.

On the other hand, we see more and more tools that help us to stay in contact, see each other daily while working from home. So, what does it mean in terms of co-location? Can #Agile team work remotely and still have good communication? Can it build the required team spirit? Most of the #Agile teams I work with already do it and in some cases report that they are more focused and effective.

It looks like that the co-location concept has to be redefined. What is your view?
